Mycelium Music for Levitation
I feel things. Our world is dying, decaying.
Babylon’s true face is that of an illness… A place where we are deprived of the sacred… a perversion of nature that influences people to pursue power… An unseemly colonial landscape. Earlier this evening while drinking my ube boba that was delivered to my door, I scrolled by images of children in Gaza being starved, a man-made famine orchestrated by israel. I’m still not desensitized, thank God. I feel my privilege. It makes me put down the phone and start to write. holding a pen in my hand is how I engage with what’s here right now.
To what capacity are we actively complicit in this simulation of normalcy? To what extent have we made changes in our lives to divest from these systems of oppression? We must be willing to sacrifice our own comfort, because the truth is uncomfortable.
Everyday I create, I feel this truth.
collage I made last year
If every person on the planet was fulfilling their unique soul’s purpose, we would naturally live in right relationship with nature. We think we have an influence on Earth’s destiny, when it’s really our own that’s at stake. Whether we survive Her or not, Nature reigns supreme. Volcanic Eruptions, Tsunamis, Earthquakes ~ Her rapture is evident, prophecized. What makes humans feel so powerful when we are but a microsecond of a moment in Her existence?
We must imagine a way out of this dystopian genocidal timeline with divine vision; Utopias, dense gardens and food forests, renewable energy, sustainable housing, universal healthcare, a world founded upon the laws and flow of nature. When I tap into this frequency, I see beyond my current experience. That vision is closer than we have yet to imagine. It makes me feel like I’m a tiny cell on Earth’s body. In a way I am, we all are. I feel this way whenever I take mushrooms.
medicine
Communing with nature through plant medicine has taught me about energetic healing, and neural plasticity. I’m able to grow out of old habits and process my emotional trauma in productive ways. By creating new habits and opening up to new ways of seeing and being we can tap into the greater collective self, earth consciousness. Not everyone may be an artist or consider themselves a creative person, but everyone can positively benefit from some sort of meditative practice, spiritual practice. When we do so, we can connect to the unified quantum field, and gain insight on how to move forward in a better way.
As a musician who has written music about universal love, peace, cosmic consciousness, and plant communication for over a decade, I feel my growing responsibility. Everything this country stands for goes against natural law, against earth’s people, and against women; the mothers of the world. mycellial decay as it relates to america’s decomposition process is well underway.
Although I recorded this particular Soundlight meditation last year, I now recognize the context to which I can offer it - a potential tool of liberation for people in this time. Use this music as a launching pad to gain more insight into your indidividual and collective responsibility. Use it as a backdrop for regeneration, renewal of the mind n soul. Use it to help you tap into your divine vision. Hopelessness is not an option. Although the current leaders of our country are corrupt and greedy, every day people like you and I can lead the change in our lives and greater communities the more we step into our calling.
